Gardening Rule No. 37

Apparently stepping on the tines of a rake
and having it come up and whack you in the shoulder
does not only happen in cartoons or Three Stooges re-runs.

  1. Uh oh! But this must mean you are getting some garden time in. Hope it's thawing a bit for you!

  2. Yes! there isn't a drop of snow anywhere, the ground is thawing, mini-daffodils are blooming, a lovely carpet of myrtle has appeared by the front pathway, and I can see a few buds on my violets. (And it was a pretty ridiculous moment, being attacked by my own garden implement!?)

  5. I've been there! Also, I realized today that both my rakes are falling apart!

  6. HAH! I'm glad I'm not the only one, Claudia. And my snow shovel only barely made it through the winter, before having to be retired permanently. I only hope I remember to buy a new one next year before I actually need to use it!
